United Way of Peel Region recognizes the importance and value that volunteers bring to our organization and to our community. The United Way of Peel Region is conducting a review of volunteerism to determine the additional supports and strategies needed to strengthen the contributions of volunteers and enhance the work of individual organizations that have volunteer programs. Are you looking for an exciting way to utilize and strengthen your public speaking, training and facilitating skills?

United Way of Peel Region, Training & Consulting Services is currently seeking experienced volunteers to provide training and facilitation services to Peel non-profit agencies and organizations. Expertise in one of the following subject areas is required:

• Knowledge of Board Development: Board Models, Roles & Responsibilities
• Communications: Media Relations
• Strategic Planning
• Proposal Writing
• Fundraising/Resource Development
• Human Resources: Recruitment, Retention, Compensation
• Change Management
• Risk Management
• Financial Management
• Other areas of expertise relevant to the non-profit sector

Time Commitment: Approximately 10 hours per year (two workshops)
