United Way Sponsorship opportunities give you the chance to:
  • Help make a difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands of Peel residents who benefit from the services, programs and initiatives supported by United Way of Peel Region

Loaned Representative
Sponsor Value: $10,000

Each year Loaned Representatives provide United Way of Peel Region with the necessary support required to implement over 700 workplace campaigns.

Companies choose to 'loan' an employee to United Way of Peel Region for 16 weeks (September-December), or to sponsor a qualified individual from the community.

Loaned Representatives are provided with comprehensive training and work with the Resource Development team to ensure that the campaign is a success. In return, as a Loaned Representative sponsor you will receive:

  • Profile at all workplace presentations made by your representative during campaign.
  • Recognition for your contribution in the local media, at special events (campaign Kick-off, Annual General Meeting, Community Achievement Celebration), in the Annual Report, and on United Way of Peel Region's web site.
  • A valuable training and professional development opportunity for sponsors who 'loan' their own company employee as a Representative.

17th Annual Golf Tournament | July 10, 2008
Held at the prestigious Lionhead Golf & Country Club, this tournament is held onboth the Masters and Legends courses and has the potential for 288 golfers to play. Over the last 17 years, this event
has raised over $900,000 for our community.There are numerous sponsorship opportunities for this successful tournament. Each offers unique benefits.

Campaign Kick-off | September 13, 2008
This annual, family-friendly event is the official launch of United Way of Peel Region’s fall fundraising campaign. This is where United Way unveils its campaign goal. It is attended by the media, business leaders, community leaders and other corporate supporters. Sponsorship of this event guarantees inclusion in all promotional and media materials, both print and web-based, issued by United Way of Peel Region.

Fall Day of Caring | October 23, 2008
This semi-annual event is held in the Spring and Fall and offers employees at organizations across Peel the opportunity to see first-hand how United Way of Peel Region Community Fund donations are being used at funded agencies. This popular event is typically attended by over 100 people. The sponsor’s logo is printed on volunteer t-shirts and the sponsor is recognized in all print, media and web-based materials.

Community Achievement Celebration | Early 2009
Each year United Way of Peel Region’s campaign concludes with a celebratory event that showcases the year’s achievements. Volunteers, organizations and their employees are recognized for outstanding efforts made toward the success of the campaign. Traditionally the event includes a reception, dinner and entertainment and is attended by over 600 individuals, including senior executives from United Way’s top supporters. Numerous unique sponsorship opportunities are available for this popular event.
