On October 16, several unions came together to officially kick-off their campaign to support United Way of Peel Region. The labour movement and United Way have had an official partnership since 1988. Last year Union Locals in the Peel Region raised $16,570.

Doubling the Impact!

A major kudos goes out to Rapport Youth and Family Services on the successful opening of their newly expanded ECLYPSE Youth Centre in Brampton!

The facility has doubled in size thanks to an expansion project that was 100% funded by United Way of Peel Region donors. United Way’s Shelley White and Ania Kordiuk were there to help cut the ribbon and officially open the centre.

Reflection on impact of  Black Community Advisory Council Gala

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel has seen great success with its recent partnership with United Way’s Black Community Advisory Council in the development of a unique mentoring program for black youth. This new program matches young people with positive mentors that they can relate to – individuals with similar experiences.
