2012 Submission Guidelines
Nominees may apply for all awards for which they are eligible. Campaigns can be nominated by the Employee Campaign Chair and/or committee. Your United Way staff partner can provide you with nomination forms and assist you where needed.
All applications are to be received at the United Way of Peel Region office by Friday, January 11, 2013. Winners will be announced at the Community Achievement Celebration on February 7, 2013.
2012 Spirit Award Categories
Welcome to United Way Award
The Welcome to United Way Award is presented to an organization that held its first United Way campaign and achieved excellent results. It recognizes new campaigns that have vitality, excitement, involvement and excellent communication. Workplaces that have not run a campaign in two years are also eligible. Employee Campaign Chair (ECC) of the Year
The ECC of the Year award is presented to Employee Campaign Chairs who have run an inspirational campaign. Winning ECCs will have used creativity, enthusiasm, leadership skills and strategic thinking to run an exceptional campaign. This award is presented in three categories based on organizational size. Outstanding Agency Campaign Award
This award is presented to agency employee campaigns that have remarkable participation and promote giving to the Community Fund. It is awarded to both funded and non-funded agencies. This award is presented in three categories based on organizational size. Download a nomination form.
Outstanding Corporate Campaign Award
This award is presented to organizations that excel in the many areas of corporate support for United Way. This award is presented in three categories based on organizational size. Download a nomination form.
Outstanding Employee Campaign Award
The Outstanding Employee Campaign Award is presented to organizations that organize and conduct extraordinary United Way campaigns and achieve exceptional results. This award is presented in three categories based on organizational size. Download a nomination form.
Leading the Way Campaign Award
The Leading the Way Award is presented to a team that organized an impressive Leadership Giving Campaign that motivated their peers to contribute personal gifts of $1,000 or more. Download a nomination form.
Best National Employee Campaign Award
This award is presented to an outstanding employee campaign that was conducted at multiple locations, including a site located outside of Peel Region. Download a nomination form.
Labour Award of Distinction
The Labour Award of Distinction is presented to a workplace and its union members that have demonstrated a commitment to community and to furthering the values shared by United Way and the Labour Movement.
