Community Fund

Every day, your donation to United Way’s Community Fund makes a difference in the lives of individuals, families, and neighbourhoods in Peel region. United Way invests Community Fund donations in programs, services and initiatives that work together to address social issues in Peel. Every dollar donated to United Way goes into the Community Fund unless it is directed by donors to other United Ways or registered charities.

Your donation to the Community Fund enables United Way to:

• Support a vital local network of more than 100 services and programs that help hundreds of thousands of people in our community
• Provide training and skills development to build strong social service agencies
• Foster community partnerships to tackle tough issues such as poverty and discrimination
• Support initiatives and activities that strengthen neighbourhoods and promote opportunities for people to become involved and engaged in their community
• Provide grants that support the development and operation of social purpose enterprises, providing employment and training to vulnerable people at risk of falling into poverty
• Speak out with a strong voice for social change
