Loaned Representative Program

United Way's Loaned Representative program provides a unique professional development opportunity for your organization's emerging leaders. In this full-time, 14-week program, one or more of your employees can work alongside United Way staff at our office to implement fundraising strategies through workplace campaigns across our community from September 12 to December 16, 2011. Training will occur from August 22 - 26.

Benefits to your organization

A new leader in your organization
United Way provides comprehensive training and gives Loaned Representatives the opportunity to put their training into practice. The result? An employee that returns to your workplace energized with new skills, confidence, contacts, increased productivity and a commitment to their community.

Be recognized as a leader in Peel Region
Your organization will receive recognition as a community leader and will be profiled in all workplace presentations made by your Loaned Representative. We will also acknowledge your organization in our annual report.

Benefits to your community

The participation of your organization makes it possible to raise more dollars for vital programs, services and initiatives that improve lives and build a strong community. The Loaned Representative program is one of the ways United Way keeps costs low, helping to maximize donor dollars in our community.

Your ambassador will also become engaged in our community and continue to be involved long after the 16-week session completes. Many graduates from the Loaned Representative program continue to volunteer on community committees.

Get involved

There are two ways to get involved in the Loaned Representative program.

  1. You can choose to loan one of your employees to United Way; you pay their salaries, benefits and travel expenses.
  2. Alternatively, you can sponsor a representative by providing a $10,000 honorarium. United Way will hire a qualified, dynamic individual with your investment.
